    Isover CWS 32 - Thermal insulation for external masonry cavity walls
    Isover CWS 32 is a material used for full fill and partial fill cavity wall insulation. The insulation is manufactured from glass mineral wool and supplied in thicknesses from 65mm to 150mm. The flexible slabs are 455mm wide to fit between standard wall tie spacing and 1200mm long. The slab has a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W m-1 K-1. The slabs are manufactured from molten glass that goes through a rotary spinning process to produce fibres. These fibres are then treated with a resin and formed into a continuous mat to a required thickness, the mat is passed into an oven to cure and then cut to the required dimensions.

    SCOPE OF REGISTRATION
    The design of a masonry cavity wall when using the cavity slab must allow for:
    The correct installation of cavity trays and damp proof courses.  
    Fire cavity barriers and dampers.
    Measures to resist sound transmission flanking from adjacent walls and floors.  
     
    -The product can be used in cavity walls in domestic and non-domestic buildings up to a height of 25m with a full fill cavity and is unrestricted with a partial fill cavity.
    -Where buildings are over 12m but under 25m high, there should be a maximum height of a continuous cavity not exceeding 7m. A continuous cavity tray should therefore be placed with weep holes discharging to the outside, also in exposed zones, walls with raked or recessed joints should be avoided.  
    -The product can be placed in two or three layers to achieve the overall required thickness to fill the cavity i.e. two 100mm slabs placed together in a 200mm cavity wall. However, the vertical joints in the slabs should be staggered to those on the inner side.
    -Excess mortar and debris should always be cleared from the cavity masonry and any droppings onto the insulation product should be removed.  
     -The slabs should always be placed with a tight butt joint.
     -The product is A1 reaction to fire classification.
